DCD Converged, the data center provider transformation conference, will take place at the Intercontinental Hotel in Dallas on 9/27/2016.
The conference will begin at 7:30AM on 9/27 and will serve a solid agenda of “best of breed” educational tracks that will aim to introduce the best in services, solutions and technology in the marketplace today. As the industry shifts and the business models change, new technologies are being rolled out to address improvements in data center power, cooling and infrastructure to name a few. These improvements benefit the customer with added efficiencies, scale and allow for an overall reduction in cost.
Akio Sugeno, Senior Vice President at Telehouse and Founder of NYIIX (New York International Internet Exchange), will discuss the “Internet Exchange data center” to help customers learn about differentiation. He will provide insights into how a Peering Exchange can provide alternative transportation, lower latency and fewer costs.
The panel will take place at 12:20-1:00PM in Hall 3 and will be hosted by Ilissa Miller, CEO of iMiller PR. The topic is titled: “Differentiating Data Centers – Qualifying Providers for Your Company’s Needs.” This panel will explore and discuss the different types of data centers – breaking down the traditional retail and wholesale data center model and helping companies to understand the nuances required by their business. Cloud providers, enterprises, educational networks and hyperscale operators all have different needs. The panel will explore how data centers are different and how companies can best evaluate their needs to choose the right partner.
